Sea Cliff Village Museum
The Sea Cliff Village Museum is located in the Town of Oyster Bay, New York, and its mission is to raise community awareness by preserving and showcasing artifacts, documents, photographs, and costumes relating to the unique historical background of the village. The museum has a vast collection of documents, photographs, artifacts, tools, and art, including a strong archive of early twentieth century photographs of the village. This archive is a valuable resource regularly used by writers, genealogists, and students. The building housing the museum was built in 1913 as the Sea Cliff Methodist Church and is located at 95 Tenth Avenue in Sea Cliff. The museum is situated in the former parsonage adjacent to the former church itself. The museum has a gift shop that offers various items such as books, postcards, posters, toys, and coloring books featuring imagery from the village's past. Limited edition commemorative t-shirts are also available for purchase. Docents are needed to work on Saturdays to guide visitors through the exhibits and run the gift shop.
